Season 2003 to 2004 Review
STATS

Cup Competitions: Games played 9; won- 7,

The squad has maintained the high standards set by their predecessors when representing REDCAR TOWN JFC, they started
the season very strongly winning their first eight games and quickly became the 'Team' everyone wanted to beat.
The winter break and called off fixtures became our downfall and we quickly lost our 'EDGE,' although maintaining
our strong 'CUP' runs, we drew too many in the league, REMEMBER, this was the teams first season on grass and
they only lost 2 games in the league ALL SEASON !!! Letting in just 9 goals!!!
It was pleasing at the end of the season when we played the eventual league winners 'Cleveland Jnrs,'
when winning 1-0, with 1 minute to go, they scored to draw 1-1, their manager was full of praise for our team,
and in his words 'we played them off the park' this is the potential of this squad for the future.
Next season, we have decided that due to the quality of players available in the squad and with new players
joining the club, we will be fielding two competitive teams in the Teesside Alliance League 2004/5.
Thanks to Mike Allison (secretary), Martin Headgley(coach), Martin Westcough(coach),
and all of the parents for their continual support of the team and their help in raising funds to make it happen.
Good Luck for the Future Tony
