All the boys have fully enjoyed the first full season of the TJFA league. Some outstanding team performances throughout the year.
The season opened with a difficult match against eventual league winners, and after a very close game, Marton came out 1-0 winners.
This did not dent the confidence of the boys and they then went on to win four of the next five games.
That run included an outstanding team performance against Nunthorpe Athletic, when the 2-0 score did not reflect the performance.
The next 5 games produced only 1 win and 2 draws, and with defeat to local rivals Teesside Athletic, the opportunity to win the league had gone.
This left Whinney Banks as the final game of the season with the winners guaranteed 2nd position.
After a close game, Whinney Banks came out winners and claimed the league runner up spot.
Overall, it was an exceptionally good season, and finishing 3rd in the top division is a fantastic achievement.
The boys are now ready for the pre-season break, and getting prepared to improve on last season results.
WELL DONE BOYS,
Marc & Darren
A special thanks to Marc for all his efforts this year and good luck in the future
Season 2004 to 2005 Review - Under 7's
It has been a rewarding time whilst taking the Saturday morning club.
The Players, parents and families have been a massive support and I
thank them all for their kindness. We have only played two games
as it has been difficult to find any other teams with the football season
ongoing. In the two games played we have taken on Teesside juniors
and have played seven matches. We are still unbeaten and conceded no
goals. May this continue!!! We have now applied for the Teesside
Junior Alliance League so this will be our first season so good luck to
the lads. Once again thank you to all of the parents and families,
but most of all thanks to the lads for listening!!!!!
Thanks Marc, Tommy, Callum & Jeff
